I had to narcan someone today thankfully I had my purse on me. I knew to report it as someone not breathing when I called 911 so the pigs wouldn't show up. Other than carrying narcan, knowing cpr, and knowing what to tell dispatch can we do?

There's little an individual can do other than harm reduction, which it sounds like you're doing a pretty good job of already.

If you want to contribute more you'll probably need to do it as part of an organization or community. They can of course still do harm reduction (I helped make safety kits for needle drug users in college, for instance) but they're also the only feasible way of making larger changes to public perception, legislation, etc

I mean, as an individual you can participate in collective efforts.

You can volunteer at a needle exchange.

You can join a decriminalization lobbying group.

You can join a single payer healthcare lobbying group.

You can teach other people to use narcan and distribute it.

You can become a social worker and get a job at a suboxone clinic.

You can donate to a suboxone clinic.
