I don't feel right spending my time criticizing china when there's a wave of racist anti-chinese sentiment going on. I'm not feeding into that.

Yeah good point. We just have to be really careful about how we're gonna criticize if we do.

but they suppress free speech, you can't trust anything they say. by staying silent, aren't you just allowing them to get away with whatever they want?

There’s a difference between state media having a bias requiring a critical lens and literally everything they say being the opposite of the truth. You can trust the BBC on a lot of issues, for example.

Not trusting what they say doesn't mean everything is a lie, it means anything could be and anything should be suspect.

thanks for this response. as i mentioned before, i'm just sharing takes i encounter from radlib friends.

you did fail to respond with them getting away with whatever they want. a family member likened it to letting the nazis get away with the holocaust. if that was actually happening, wouldn't you be doing everything you could in your power to stop it?

in which case, why isn't my family member joining the military?

          lol, just realized that.

my bad takes are just rehashes of the same fucking conversation i have to have with every white radlib. i hate it so, so much, and i guess i just want you all to suffer in my pain lol

my honest position is mostly in alignment with bewts. our efforts, atm, are best focused domestically. struggle sessions about china are distractions and won't move forward our efforts in the US.
