After he turned out to be a massive disappointment, they all yelled at us to vote for him again for those same reasons. We were called hypocrites and it turned into a discussion of "Romney's worse! At least vote blue no matter who!"
It's hilarious that they love Romney now cause in that election cycle he cemented himself as a massive piece of shit. And yet despite this, he was doing pretty good until the 47% thing and him talking about poor people. Obama only won his re-election due to that and the fact he could still give amazing speeches with good charisma. People have generally forgotten how hated Obama was in 2012. That was also the height of the Tea Party and they weren't too happy the GOP gave them Romney. I sometimes think that had Trump ran back then with his loud mouth style and constantly attacking his opponent, Obama don't win re-election.
