this is not a Breaking Bad bit. I have been depreciated of the knowledge of a sick as fuck hue
Blue Bottle Experiment? I know we did that in middle school. NileRed has a video on it that shows it, which might stir your memory if it was what you did.
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
It was the Porsche blue that the color matching guy recreates by hand in that YouTube Short that won’t stop getting recommended no matter how many times I clear my cache
maybe. Pretty decent chance. might be twisted by time but I remember it being a very vivid blue. closer to a cobalt?
Mixing copper sulfate solution with ammonia makes a darker blue coordination complex.
Was it a powder, a solid or a liquid? Shiny or mat? Give me some more details on what it looked like.
Powder, we mixed into a solution, very much remember that. I believe it was matte? I vaguely think part of the thing that might have stuck with me was how vibrant of a blue it was despite lacking sheen, but I may just be filling in some memory blanks here.
Yeah, copper(II) sulfate was the first thing that came to mind, also.
This reminds me, I want to learn at least high school chemistry at some point. It's a massive blind spot
maybe the iodine clock? that's quite cool even if its not the experiment you had in mind.
