Lower Decks legit has some of the tightest comedy writing outside of classic Simpsons/Futurama. I do wish there were more episodes and they were all a longer cause it always felt like it needed some breathing room, but not cause short attention span, cause I like my shows and movies on the slower side, I like extra time for little inconsequential to the plot character bits, I like a good filler episode, I like a bad filler episode. Ideally I'd like a standard for now 10 episodes and then also 5 other episodes thar they're given less time and budget for but also without the same pressure as network shows had for it, but a little bit of work with what you've got writing is something I miss. We wouldn't have court room episodes of trek without the budget concerns and we wouldn't have Yesterday's Enterprise if the full writing staff wasn't scrambling to get something on air that then turned out brilliant. I think the mentality can be simulated instead of actual brutal crunch. There's a bunch of ways to run a show to make it work
