Ugh now I have to find another job. It's not like I'm bad at my job. I know I'm not. The boss just doesn't like me. He probably didn't like me asking if I could get off a little sooner on halloween. He didn't even ask my colleague anything about my work, and wouldn't explain what's the problem. Petit-bourgeois asshole.
The funny thing is he thought yesterday was my last day of the trial period, turns out it was the first day of normal employment, so he has to give me 2 weeks notice. He'll be thrilled to still have me I'm sure
Love it when they fuck up the timing. I have a friend who got fired "too late" and ended up getting 2 months wages out of it with union support, but I guess the US doesn't have anything like that
I silently hope that I get paid the 2 weeks and he doesn't want me to work them. Luckily I'm not in the US, I'll call the labour law helpline on monday
