He makes them in different sizes and different functions. Some have electronics, he even makes a small bobble version for a car dash or something. The work isn't in the plastic, it's in all of the other details. He has a few for himself but he's sold maybe 50. Each one takes him several hours. It's just a hobby thing, it's not like it's his job.

There's gotta be a mod for the original (3 cd-rom) battlefront that allows you to battle as these. The model was already in the game since they were the resupply stations in command posts.
