Still remember thinking $2000 is way to much pay to build a whole PC like 8 years ago, and here we are with graphics cards 4x my whole pc's price

Wow thats good enough to run a modern ue5 game with shitty software lumen at 480p upscaled and 4x fake frames at 60fps! I can't wait for neural rendering to make the game so blurry its like taking my glasses off for the added realism

Can anyone explain what a regular person would need a 5090 for? These things seem like they're just for bitcoin mining and AI generation. Maybe some 3d modeling programs?

Like my 3070ti runs modern games just fine, I might pick up a 40 series card when the prices come down, but I really cannot fathom why someone needs a $2000 graphics card.

    Also, lol

I’m a little behind the times. Two of my PCs have no graphics capabilities and my workstation is running a 730m. My card draws power from the slot it’s pushed into. Do these run on a 12v provided by the PSU? If so, that’s FOURTY SEVEN FUCKING AMPERES OF POWER TO RUN IT.

    WHAT THE FUCK

My first graphics card ever was powered from the PCI slot, my second had one used a molex plug from the power supply. Recently I was watching a PC build where his card used 2 molex connectors. Wonder how this thing is hooked up
