I keep them on to give a tiny amount of revenue to Mozilla but then again it's probably pennies in the oceanic bucket that Google throws at Mozilla to ensure search engine dominance on Firefox
every country club should be converted to a quasi arboretum, open to the public, and have it's course converted into a hiking trail for ecological interpretive walks to showcase the conversion processes, the environmental management decisions/ethical drivers & their consequences, and chill spots with places for those little workout stations, slack lining, and whatever else.
in my ecology coursework we toured lots of places and the discussion of land management regimes and their changes over time was very instructive in helping to "see" the ecological processes at work and how they interact with human efforts.
then I would consider "joining" one and contributing yearly $ to get my name added to a "brass level contributor" type of list.
if I live to see the destruction of many country clubs, I will consider it a human success story.

Gore had a reputation for being wooden and uncharismatic. Here, though, he was some mixture of dry, resigned and self-effacing. “The Chair,” he said, “is advised by the Parliamentarian that Section 17 of Title 3, United States Code, prescribes a single procedure for resolution of either an objection to a certificate or other questions arising in the matter. That includes a point of order that a quorum is not present. The Chair rules, on the advice of the Parliamentarian, that the point of order that a quorum is not present is subject to the requirement that it be in writing and signed by both a member of the House of Representatives and a senator.”

You're right - though I do think that same money is more impactful in other projects. Ladybird, KDE, GNOME and others.
