              IM GLAD YOU ASKED

              it was a silly indie fangame where you played as kanye and battled other rappers in the year 2033. it was super popular and everyone loved it.

              later on though, it turned out that it had a huge secret in it - the guy who made it was a member of a cult called "ascensionism" and the game was just a front to find new members.

              it had a secret area in it that when you finished asked you for your personal information - name, adress, etc. and sent it to the guy so he could contact you and recruit you into the cult.

              it's fucking wild and sounds like a creepypasta but it's actually a real thing that happened

                  the guy made another game later on that apparently includes real voicemails of people calling the cult, so who knows it might be real

                  also logging people's IPs and asking them for their personal info feels like too much for just an ARG

                          i dont remember the name but it was a weird ass rpg game where you just walked around and did tasks like "open doors" and shit and you got money for it

                          the cult believes that humans have two parts - the body and the soul. the body dies but the soul lives on forever, moving from body to another. here's where it gets fucked - they believe that everything that happens to you was meant to happen and you deserve it, because your soul agreed to it in another life, which is basically a way for them to abuse the cult members
