        But bad in an interesting way, I thought. Normally with this sort of thing the writing is bad in such a way that they overdo it by wringing the drama out of each situation — in The Resident they keep resolving things before they've even set them up properly. You think they're establishing a season arc, then it's suddenly over and they're setting up another one lol
