Not so much as to become a rich ghoul, but enough to live well. Assume no student loans, no car loans, and you rent. How would you live your life?

    I'd buy a house, a modest house, and work on it as a hobby. I'd volunteer more. Have a family. Sleep in late every fucking day. This is what I consider true freedom.

        It's the most control you can have over your housing, a basic need. Yeah it comes with obligations, it's still more free than renting.

            Yeah, but taxes and maintenance on 80k isn't a massive issue.

            Also you're maintaining your housing. That's less a burden and more a basic fact of life.

                That kinda yearly income makes for an easy down payment and low risk for mortgage lenders.

                They might be comfortable with a mortgage, I said I would save up.
