Yeah also it's a pretty out there comparison because Strasser was still extremely anti-Semitic and ultranationalist, the same definitely cannot be said for AOC. I understand and even somewhat agree with the "social democracy is the moderate wing of fascism" take, but that person took it way too far and was way too aggressive
They're also forgetting this woman is a bartender from the Bronx. This would be like aaaaaaadjsf all of a sudden becoming a member of the House. How the fuck do you maneuver and handle all of this with so little real political experience? Gaffes and blunders are going to happen when you're just shoved into the national spotlight. The woman also receives probably 30 death and rape threats a day in some form or another and they're all screaming that she needs to be more vocally left? I get annoyed at the complete lack of looking at it from a different angle more than I disagree with social democracy being just kinder imperialism.
