For me it was a post in /r/all/rising, back before /r/CTH took itself off of /r/all
It was like a month or two after the 2016 election, I was still a committed socdem (I would've called myself very liberal) and the posts there had a better sense of humor than the alt-Sanders subreddits, and then also started making more sense...
Saw a lot of funny x posts on reddit from CTH back when it had like 20k subs so I joined. Only listened to the actual podcast like a few weeks ago, I didn’t even know it was a podcast for like a week.
I think I saw it mentioned on Reddit and started listening to the podcast that way. I don’t honestly remember, though.
I know it started my spiral into becoming a full blown communist.
It is a bit of a tragedy that /r/cth was banned, I don't know if there was a better left-wing recruiting ground online
Obviously being independent has its advantages but we're never going to get the cross pollination here that we got there
Once we get more stable, I think we should try to organise a reopening of that pipeline. We could specifically target adjacent communities to turn them, or just dunk on bad takes, etc.
The pod's sad to listen to now, there's no heart in it, I'd rather watch chess streamers
I saw a people constantly whining about it on SRD so i decided to check it to see what was up with it.
Crossposted on r/CompleteAnarchy, which I used to browse when it was good.
