LET PEOPLE GO WHERE THEY WANT. Kurdi's family was fleeing an ISIS assault on their hometown in northern Syria, and had failed to jump through the impossible hoops set up for them by Western governments to become official refugees. ISIS and the Syrian Civil War are the result of the War on Terror, climate change, the backward US electoral system, as well as everyone's favorite socioeconomic system, of course.

His death still makes me so angry and sad I don’t even know what to do with myself. He’s just one boy, yes, but he symbolizes the monumental cruelty of the world we live in, the many people just like him who perish every day just to make the stock market go up. All of us are only human, and as socialists we are also intellectuals, which means that at times we can’t help but doubt—especially because we are often surrounded by people who relentlessly excuse the system which murdered Alan Kurdi while they simultaneously attack any effort to change anything. Yes, it’s only human to doubt and question. But I think that if you remember what happened to that boy, all doubts and questions will cease. We must work together to build a world in which deaths like his are impossible.

it's absolute dogshit, the west is 100% behind the death of refugees everywhere, drowning in the middle of oceans, locked up
concentration camps for trying to flee wars the west started.

    solidarity forever
