I started drawing a map for a dnd game, but kept starting over because I wasn't satisfied with my drawing skill.
My friend recommended I use Inkarnate, but now my hand is too unsteady to properly trace the islands and they come out really squiggly and jagged.
Feels like I can either have really shitty terrain or really shitty islands lol.
looks good whats the issue? 99% of the charm of roleplaying games is the art and stories can be cheesy and derivative and nobody give a fuck because everyone is just having a chill time :)
Those islands are fine. Is there some sort of key-mouse combo that restricts the line to straight? In a lot of programs you click your first pixel and then hold shift and you're restricted to a straight line.
You caught it lol.
What I did was just trace the area surrounding the Isle of Man and the surrounding landscapes and then take chunks off.
lowkey upset that the occupied 6 have been flipped but are still occupied ngl
oh a tip for when you are creating stuff like this: you will always be waaaay more critical of the result than any of your players i 100% guarantee this
trust me they are just excited to get into the game and have fun and slay monsters and save the missing children or rescue the farmers dog or whatever. dont stress too much about it you are doing great
