Who's posting "where did that bring you, back to me" in 20 hours?

    Mom says it's my turn.

The whole terror situation in Europe has me down. Right-wing populists will win massively from this shit no matter how draconian Macron attempts to rule. It's pretty mean to say, but COVID might be the only thing holding back Europe from another right-wing sweep like we saw throughout the teens.

Just had a thought about how if Bernie was the nominee, I've wouldn't have stopped campaigning for him all year. But since they fucked him, here I am stoned playing video games on the day of the 'most important election ever'.

So I just posted a few days ago about my situation. My brother just OD’d on fentanyl. He’s okay. But I’m not able to handle this

Ended up voting Biden last minute. I know he's flawed and I would have preferred someone else, but I admire his character. He's overcome a lot of personal struggles. Plus, there's a cheeto in the white house.

I think Hunter will make a fine president, and I'm proud to vote for him.

It’s not okay to close c/main as a joke

I totally realize most people are going to disagree with me here but I feel compelled to say that closing c/main for a joke wasn’t a very kind thing to do. We have seen TONS of posts from vulnerable populations talking about how c/main is a source of support and humor in a dark time. Irony and dirtbagism aside, taking away that support without warning was not okay.

You can say I’m being silly, or humorless or reactionary. Whatever. I love the show and I love this community. But sometimes I come home after dealing with ableism and our nightmare reality all day, and c/main is one of many things that make me feel better. It wasn’t a good feeling to find c/main closed for the sake of irony. Maybe that’s laughable or pathetic. But for me, it’s true.

Reminder that in 2000 libs just sorta gave up fighting for Gore to win and then 600,000 Iraqis died because of it. Weakness and spinelessness have consequences, folks. Gore was a neoliberal ghoul but there's no way he would have started a war with Iraq.

Just voted for La Riva in a swing state and actually feel no guilt at all. Pretty sweet.
