I love rain. Especially during summer, especially during the day. I love opening my window during summer rain and feeling the cool breeze that carries the smell of ozone, wet pavement and mud. Hearing the sounds of raindrops hitting the roof, leaves rustling in the wind, cars driving over puddles, and low rumbles of distant thunder. Watching water droplets roll down my window as they join other droplets on the way down the glass.
Growing up, I spent a lot of time at my grandma's house especially during the summer. She lived on a small lake and had a screened-in back porch. It was the perfect place to be when it rained. When I was a teenager I'd sit out there, smoke weed out of an apple, drink tea and listen to a long "summer rain" playlist I made. I still listen to that mix when it's raining. I can share it if anyone wants. It's one of the best mixes i've put together and I'm proud of it. I was (am) an insufferable hipster so I recorded it to cassette tape, lol. In my defense I liked listening to the mix on tape because it allowed me to leave my phone inside so I didn't get distracted.
