California CHUDs are a strange breed. Trumpism is an identity in contrast to a sea of liberalism to them. If I see a Trump flag or parade here, in my mind it's a swastika. They know what message they are sending.

People really downplay how many chuds there are in California. EDIT: Both in the sense that there will obviously be a good number of chuds just because there are so many people in general, but also as far as the actual ideology of the state and culture. Don't ever fall for the framing that California is actually progressive. It's a right-liberal sort of place at heart.

The bluer the area, the more insane they get.

Kind of like New York, you have your blue population-dense areas, and then you have your rural conservative areas

And California is a big place, I mean look at it, if there are 30 million people there and 30% of them are conservative, well, do the math

reactionaries living in an area where they know their actions are only symbolic are dangerous

Doesn't need to be strategic electorally, just needs to be inflammatory enough so it's a runaway effect

Small correction, California has around 40 Million people now. Don't want to underestimate the number of Chuds.

I don't know, but we somehow decided to pack a bunch of water intensive crops in the same space as 12% of the U.S. population despite being in an Arid climate.

Las Vegas and Phoenix rightfully get shit on for being testaments to unsustainability, but California is pretty fuckin wild from a planning perspective too.
