    I grew up reading Ender's Game and all its runty children. Then I found out Card was a homophobe and haven't read anything of his since.

      Ender's Game was a legitimately good book and some of the themes in the series are pretty anti-war. But Scott Card is a massive chud

    I read it like 25 years ago. The native Americans get early technology giving them the jump on Europe, but they do it by accepting Christ into their hearts or something. Or was that a different one? Like all Card books I'm sure it's extremely entertaining, better than it sounds, and highly problematic.

      This one was so terrible it made me stop reading his books even when I still had conservative brainworms as a young man.

        I was playing their shareware games on PC when they were still called Epic Megagames, so the ”pre-Fortnite” descriptor is very chomsky-yes-honey
