    ?? who is your normal population, most people I grew up with started dating in high school

      In the U$, I’ve found it uncommon to date before you finish your Bachelor’s degree. It is seen as not acceptable to your family and they will find it unacceptable and generallly looked down upon if you do so by other people as well. I haven’t had a single friend who did before 20 at the youngest

        Did you grow up in an immigrant and/or religious community? I grew up in a major US city and although it's not cool to outright shame somebody for being a virgin or "late bloomer", everybody thinks it's unusual. Marriage before degree is unusual though, at least among my PMC cohort.
