If it's on a family Whatsapp group the only thing you can do is call it out directly and refuse to back down. Ask to see sources or evidence rather than some random persons opinion. Ask if they really believe every government, doctor and nurse on the planet is actually in on a conspiracy.
A fun thing I like to do is guess how many 1984 comments there will be on a news article about covid or lockdown. Just today I was checking to see if I'm okay to go climbing (I'm not 😭) and there was a comment that said "1984 is a book not an instruction manual" and the other said "blackwhite, comrade. Double plus good."
