It's funny because the framing of certain things by Trump could have been written off as clever strategizing if Trump wasn't dumber than pond scum; things like saying Biden wants to defund the police, or Biden wants to take away your healthcare forced Joe to respond, and got him to show his own hand (that Biden wasn't some ultra progressive, and was thoroughly uninterested in institutional change at a time when many people want said change).
