Nobody who is afraid of tax brackets actually understands them. Like, if you end up making over 400k, you get taxed at the high rate starting at 400,001. You could easily contribute to retirement, HSA, or (gasp) charity if you hate paying taxes so fucking much.
Why? It’s a rich people thing, make a foundation, donate money, write off taxes, pay salaries to your failsons/daughters, say how much of a philanthropist you are, fly to private island with pinker/other intellectuals.

Writing off charity donations always seemed kind of weird to me.
Why? It’s a rich people thing, make a foundation, donate money, write off taxes, pay salaries to your failsons/daughters, say how much of a philanthropist you are, fly to private island with pinker/other intellectuals.
