No wonder the average freeze-gamer gate cryptofascist feels so betrayed by the Wolfenstein series: it remained where it started about killing nazis and just made killing nazis more real and urgent and relevant.

It's a damn shame we'll probably never get a proper conclusion to this version of Wolfenstein

Popped out a half-assed live-service game with Youngblood and then promptly abandoned the series

    Way to go Bethesda

      yea

I'm pretty sure the average freeze-gamer blames "wokeness" for the series coming to a sputtering halt, too.

gamer-gulag The game failed because they had girl protagonists!

Or perhaps it failed because they stuck a bunch of nonsense faux-RPG mechanics and empty cosmetics into the game as an excuse to sell fake money at the detriment of having the game play out like it's predecessors

gamer No, it was the women

It had feeeeemales that did more than go nyaaa and fight for senpai. That's why it failed. very-intelligent

I'm still pretty mad that they had the black revolutionary leader from New Colossus become the head of the FBI in Youngblood

Like, I don't know what they were hoping to accomplish with that

And it would have been so easy to make a game set among the backdrop of a 2nd American Civil War (since they out and out stated that they brought back slavery in New Colossus as well), and have it be the big triumphant wackadoo finale to the trilogy they were very clearly setting up

Plus, I wanted more of that Liberation Theology preacher guy, he was cool
