Isn't it attended by a lot techbros and upper middle class people? I'm sure if they are really in serious peril, they'll get air drops. These headlines are just gonna make them seem like a bunch of brave adventurers and they'll be all over the press when they get out.

Tickets alone can go up to $2,750 "plus taxes and fees"

What the fuck!? That plus the RV need mean that "festival" is basically drawing money from well off people and from people who are too abused to notice they ought to create their own festivals (as plenty of people in Europe and Africa do).

Operating phrase here is "up to".

Nornal tickets for the week are like 550+150 for camping. 5000 people are also given discounted tickets for lime 250 bucks.

Every event ever has an absurdly high top end on VIP tickets lol

Over here we mostly do lotteries at the good festivals which always have the same price for everyone (except for people who help who have to pay less or get free entry). Its around 300$ maximum and sometimes as cheap as 20$ per day (depending on festival).

This skimming the cream thing is a very USA thing to do. I would argue to have 7% of the people (out of 70k) with reduced tickets is another USA thing in which a bit of charity instead of solidarity is used to hide that economic power buys you better positions, nicer entry and such.

However I would accept your argument if 60k do pay much less than 2750$ plus RV cost.

I can guarantee you the average ticket is the 550 +150 camping. Which for an entire week isnt even that bad compared to tons of festivals.

Hell in 2014 i paid 700+ for thursday-sunday at tomorrowworld.

And it isnt uniquely American. Check out the insane amount of packages offered for tomorrowland. Theres like 20 different kinds ranging from 400-500 dollar standard festival weekend tickets to 50,000 for a weekend in a "mansion" (its a weirdo house kinda thing) with options ALLLLL in between.

Ive never known a single person myself who has purchases a VIP or a big ticket like that, but they out there.
