    as anime is reactionary

    How so? We've discussed how anime fans tend to skew reactionary for a number of reasons, but I don't see how you can paint the entire medium as being inherently bad.

      Because most anime from Japan reflects Japanese culture, which is heavily reactionary. It’s the same way that American movies reflect American reactionary values. What anime is popular rn?

        I see your point, though I wouldn't call all American cinema reactionary either. The big pictures from major studios? Absolutely. But it's not great analysis to overgeneralize entire mediums of art.

        I don't watch much anime tbh so I'm not too in the know about what's popular right now.

          The vast majority of American cinema is reactionary enough. If I handed you a bowl of fruit loops and only 4 of the pieces didn’t contain Ricin, you’d throw the entire bowl away. If something is too corrupt and too broken, you disown and work against it.
