the only way to protect the ugiers (or whatever they're called, that's not my job) is to obliterate all life on earth
westerners literally cannot handle China having a bigger dam then they do so they want to blow it up. China's civil infrastructure game on point :mao-aggro-shining:
Dammit I was THREE turns from finishing it now how am I going to get power to all my cities on this continent?
yeah and i am sure china will not do a thing about it right it is not as if we have actually solved this fucking thing during the cold war because the implications of a nuclear war between to superpowers is literally the end of both and like the world like at the point where you are considering to shot at shangai it means that people on china are considering the same but for new york
No, you don't understand, the last time we melted hundreds of thousands of civilians in nuclear hellfire we won the war. Ignore all context, there's no reason it could go any different this time.
yeah you are correct context is for dumbasses but like i don't know it does not seem smart to attack a country that is at this point part of your economy
Can someone give me a rundown of the situation with the Uighurs? My general understanding is that due to heavy radicalization of Muslims in the area, a large number of whom had fought with ISIS, the Chinese gov has set up reeducation camps, basically internment camps.
As far as I know, China has been really heavy handed in doing so, probably taking more political prisoners than the situation requires. I also read a report about forced hysterectomies, although it seemed to be pieced together from Chinese expats. Are most of the claims fabricated? Or is China doing lots of human rights abuses?
This is an honest question. I thought I had it understood but it seems like mainstream media sources have been making not so vague anymore claims about what is going on. Obviously most of which is propaganda but it seems pretty bold to make direct claims of forced sterilizations and shit.
The bulk of re-education is now complete. People have been, for the most part, moved into job placements, with more serious offenders charged and put into prison.
The birth control stuff is mostly atrocity propaganda from the usual people on the CIA payroll. The reports of birth control have serious flaws.
Another sensational claim made by Zenz was that at least 80 percent of the new surgeries of IUD placements in China was performed in Xinjiang in 2018, which is yet another proof that Xinjiang government is carrying out large scale family planning policy.
However, Lin found out that according to the official data published by the National Health Commission, in 2018, the new surgeries of IUD placement nationwide was 3,774,318 and for Xinjiang it was 328,475. Thus the new surgeries in Xinjiang only accounted for 8.7 percent of the national total. The 80-percent claim is another outright lie.
My favourite claim is one that the UN has used to push the "millions of Muslims in concentration camps!" thing is literally a report by an American-based Chinese think tank who went to rural Xinjiang, then found one person in eight villages (for a total of eight people), then asked this one person how many Uighers they thought lived in the town before the re-education program, and how many had been taken. They took the numbers from these eight random folks and then extrapolated it for the entirety of China.
I don't doubt there's some shady shit going down, and definitely some human rights abuses, but the scale is incredibly exaggerated.
I remember being in high school when the teacher gave us a hypothetical: You've been tasked with neutralizing the government of the DPRK, they have artillery pointed at Seoul, any attack will trigger immediate retaliation, how do you proceed? My "humane" answer was to evacuate civillians and begin a targeted assassination campaign against their military officers, which even as a 16 year old radlib felt kind of gross, but I couldn't really explain why and it seemed like he least worst option. But oh boy, did my classmates come out with some bangers. Suggestions included:
Bomb them first with no warning and hope they don't get a shot off
Land invasion
Nuclear warhead
The experience of being in a discussion with people casually advocating for Korean genocide 2, in front of the classes many Korean students as part of a classroom discussion on how to do imperialism best, was the most Verhoeven experience of my young life, and a pretty big "are we the baddies" moment.
Holy shit, someone surpassed wasbappin in "justified" genocidal plans.
