  • To be honest I think it's just exposure to a larger sample size of the population. Reddit, here, and most other social media outlets (barring Facebook, but FB is a weird case) become pretty echo chambery.

Something that I have noticed is that people who stick to Chapo.Chat and Reddit tend to only be exposed to the stuff that gets posted to make fun of liberals, and not the every day liberal take (also conservative) that is still very stupid.

I think it also tends to make us forget that liberals outnumber us by a lot. There are far more people in the US who support the Status Quo than those who want to overthrow it.

  • Can someone give me a rundown of the situation with the Uighurs? My general understanding is that due to heavy radicalization of Muslims in the area, a large number of whom had fought with ISIS, the Chinese gov has set up reeducation camps, basically internment camps.

As far as I know, China has been really heavy handed in doing so, probably taking more political prisoners than the situation requires. I also read a report about forced hysterectomies, although it seemed to be pieced together from Chinese expats. Are most of the claims fabricated? Or is China doing lots of human rights abuses?

This is an honest question. I thought I had it understood but it seems like mainstream media sources have been making not so vague anymore claims about what is going on. Obviously most of which is propaganda but it seems pretty bold to make direct claims of forced sterilizations and shit.

No not exactly, its more a combination of breakfast food and lunch food between the hours of 10 and 12. So a restaurant will have like pancakes, eggs, sausage, etc. BUT also like burgers and fries, sandwiches, charcuterie, etc.

  • My opinion; let feelings come first and politics come later.

Personally, I have been in a relationship since 11th grade. 7 years strong. I love her more than life itself.

I was a lib when we met, she was entirely apolitical as most 17 year olds are.

I am still working on explaining my politics, bit by bit, every day. And she is receptive. Because I don't go all in at once.

They will be receptive eventually, just find what your relationship is first 😃

It's scary as fuck. My wife wants kids and it gives me literal panic attacks what may happen during our lifetime letalone theirs.

So aggravating it was allowed to get to this place. Between healthcare, the env, and wealth disparities in the world I really don't understand how people are radicalized towards the left more often
