It's easy to be put on edge by it. I always try to assume good faith until someone abandons plausible deniability and reveals themselves to be a bad faith actor. FreshBussy, for example, refused to accept any explanation about financial transparency, and kept repeating the same debunked bullshit. Raising concerns is even encouraged when it's done in good faith; I've raised concerns and criticisms of the mod team and received positive feedback from the mods and admins.
