Yes that Anita. Anita Sarkeesian. After she complained about a female Mandalorian having somewhat titty armor (and yeah, I do think she's overreacting in this instance, but the reaction to her overreacting will be even worse).
I'M ABOUT TO GO FERAL. I AM READY GO COMMIT GAMERCIDE.
Time is a flat circle
Honestly, the cultural context around the word jihad is very different now than it was when Dune was written, I don't think that's the absolute worst decision
I slap fight on the internet. I get banned. I slap fight on the internet I go to posting valhalla
yeah, I do think she’s overreacting in this instance
On the other hand, titty armor is dumb and rightfully mocked.
I mean they did boobify her armor compared to the one from Clone Wars for no apparent reason, but at least it's not one of those bulging metal bra death traps that would realistically cave in and crush the wearer's chest on impact.
titplate is still not a good idea, not good to deflect swords/projectiles/lasers straight into your face and/or neck
Oh wait really? Chuds keep posting screenshots from, what I thought, was Clone Wars. It might be a different series then, I don't keep up with Star Wars anymore.

Looks like they changed her armor a bit at some point during the Clone Wars then. She had a very flat chestpiece in Rebels again though.
It could be that they made it that way so that the actress would be comfortable. I wouldn't know first hand but I've heard that squeezing your boobs down into a small space hurts.
I recently worked in a museum summer workshop thing where visitors could try on a replica of a knight's chestplate and women had no problem wearing it whatsoever.
Were you taking surveys on the women that tried it? Excuse me miss, how does this make your breasts feel? Is this uncomfortable on your nipples?
Actually yes lol. As part of the workshop we were testing mobility in medieval armor, so visitors who volunteered (both men and women) ran around and performed various exercises in plate and then made a rather detailed report (what movements they could and couldn't do, whether the armor chafed at some places, how quickly they tired etc.). Medieval plate armor was actually surprisingly spacious as a lot of padding went underneath.
interesting. still, unless there's concept art that emerges showing that the female mandalorian armor was specifically sexed up for the show, then the most likely explanation for it looking the way it does is that the costume department took the actress' measurements and matched the costume to her.
Oh definitely, I just think this was one of tamer instances they could have picked from
Anita did nothing wrong but as a media critic she’s neither deep nor interesting. The only reason anyone has ever paid attention to her is because she’s triggered the g*mers
nothing wrong with just sticking with old games you already like, most AAA releases are trash anyways and the ones that aren't aren't worth buying a whole new console for.
It's the reason I stick to racing games and single player playstation exclusives lol. Last time I played COD it was a lobby full of people complaining about the evil Ess-Jayy-Wwws, fuck that lol I'll stick to the shit I enjoy
Tbh I've never really participated in the "G*mer Discourse" other than reading the occasional review by a local website or magazine and watching trailers. Ignorance is bliss I guess. Also the financial cost these days is insane, the ps5 costs twice as much as the ps4 did on launch in my country. But I hardly buy games new anyway, I usually buy used disc ps4 games at the local pawn shop for a quarter of the price. The last game I bought new was the last of us I think. Gamers are just insane man.
Yeah a lot of the story based games are just getting better and better in terms of characters and inclusiveness and avoiding that "comic book levels of deepness" trope as you said. (Except for COD lol, from what I've heard the story mode is just worse and worse, apparently they turned captain Price into a "just following orders" goon :-( ). There's a noticeable improvement there. It doesn't mean those older games with the usual story aren't bad, it's just not every game needs to be like that, like it was in the 2000s. If people are mad that gaming is becoming more popular and approachable by more people, that's their problem I guess.
Playing it at the moment - well worth playing. The first level has some great anti capitalism.
Jedi Fallen Order - you start off as a low pay grade welder, and your buddy is a revolutionary peasant
That game is dangerous, it has such an addictive game look! I tell myself one more run, but then when I die I wanna see what everyone in the lounge has to say, then I wanna just spend spend my darkness and keys and see what I get, but the. I just have to see the power ups I bought in action so I’ll do just one more run. And the cycle continues
Indies! More accessible because few are like console exclusive and what not. Also most are much more respectful of the players time and make for a shorter more concentrated experience.
Give me your hottest take on Twitter, Flatlander Woman.
I think the most frustrating gamer fanbase has to be by far the Fallout series' one.
The game is literally shitting on the US but hehe luberteeh praim so epic fuck commies
There's so many things to be rightfully hysterical over in the world atm, 'star wars boobs' doesn't even come near the top 100.
Anita's found her hustle, and it's teaching "feminist critique 101" over and over again using the latest pop culture.
Google 'breastplate' there is a reddit for it even. They aren't historical accurate and for info make bets culture instead of gender queer sexy need culture
Yeah, but still no boobplate. Though good festival gear
I wonder, if the Greeks had had a more egalitarian society at the time when the anatomically correct armors were popular, would they have made boob plate? The "standard" armor wasn't moulded to look like anatomically correct but imagine if there was a female general and they wanted to make hers special.
Anita had an awkward take, time to rage about it for the next 3 months 😎
Seriously though, it isn't even the fairly tame boob armor that weirds me out, it's the fact that the women mandalorians have to wear helmets with sexy seductive eyes and thin features. That jumped out as needlessly sexed to me first.
At the same time, Gina Carano (who has a role on the show) is posting straight-up QAnon bullshit on her TL. But yeah, Anita is where the outrage is.
I have to admit, when she first came out, I watched her first couple of videos and I absolutely loathed them and her. Her arguments were terrible, and consisted of "boobs in videogame?" and then she would do a big EYEROLL and move on to the next offense.
I was also fairly young and on a lot of drugs, and while I never disagreed with feminism as a whole, I thought her videos were total shit, and didn't see the point.
