Reasons America is #1 according to Tucker

  • It's rweally pretty
  • The people are "nice"
  • We tip more than places that don't have a tipping economy
  • We brutalize, murder and eat animals that aren't dogs
  • We prefer incremental change
  • We don't use the metric system
  • We have Christmas and other countries don't apparently???

Honestly this whole clip makes me want to simultaneously burst out into laughter and tear of sorrow. This is it, this is the best they have, it's so hilarious in a way, but it's fucking gut wrenching because even then untold millions will eat this shit up.

It makes me sad that Americans are so obsessed with being #1 in the first place, with the glorification of their state, like why? and then you do and this is what you come up with? half of it isn't even true and the rest is basically irrelevant.

But honestly...the thing that makes me the saddest, the thing that really makes me want to break down in tears is our history and current treatment of the natives. I memed on it on Twitter because, again, like...it's honestly hilarious how they set it up, but beyond that...it's really just sad. It's sad that Tucker can just say the word Shoshone and these people don't even register to him, what we did doesn't register, they are just forgotten.

I dunno, I feel like I am screaming into the void, but I had to say something some where, even if I am preaching to the choir.

What's worst is that American Christmas is actively spreading across the globe due to their cultural dominance, turning it into their shop-yourself-to-death-and-cry tradition.

I mean, have you seen American Christmas displays? Whole fucking buildings turned into a screaming light pollution? What's that even about, if not just an insane display of mediocre wealth?

Like, a war on Christmas starts to seem more and more like a moral duty.

The lights thing I think to some extent is just to make things look dazzling and "nice" but it is definitely a status symbol thing as well, you see in movies and shows people trying to "out do" each other to prove who has more Christmas spirit, and on some level I am sure it is also a wealth signifier.

I'm so fucking sick of Christmas at that point. Every year I tell my family I don't need more pointless consumer shit and I need nothing (baring the occasional pair of shoes some years), every year they still buy useless shit for me. I'd love for it to be just a great meal and that's it. This year I'm half hoping we're still in lockdown when the date comes so I have an excuse to try and spend it alone at home with my SO.

I can’t really think of anything that’s good about the US. Free speech? A lie. Maybe the 2nd amendment? Forget about that if you’re not White. Movies, games, TV? Kind of sick of that shit unless it’s not made for profit. American exceptionalism is a fucking brain disease.

I don't want to come off as like...snobbish, but I am increasingly feeling like the bloke in Plato's cave allegory, but no one will listen to me and I am too weak to drag them out so I have to just sit here while they clap like seals at the shadows on the wall.

Normies or people on this site? Both? Yeah, telling people that they need to reject everything they were taught growing up is no easy task. That’s why there are the Proud Boys because they feel like so many people hate America and White men now. I think it takes moving beyond the idea of nationality and culture. You aren’t your nationality. You are just your experiences and the ideas you were taught growing up, and those things change.

          "Normal" people, not people here.

Yeah, idk, nationalism has poisoned so many people's minds.
