Based on this prior research in which local topical application of USAG-1 silencing RNA resulted in tooth formation.
This study will determine the viability of applications for cases of tooth agenesis, where teeth do not develop in places where they should.
This medication may also have applications for the regrowth of lost teeth.
Nice! It's a fucking crime that teeth are considered luxury bones pretty much everywhere. Dentistry is one of the oldest forms of surgurey, ffs.
Even here in the wonderful social democratic paradise of Norway dentists are not part of the public health services.
I've already lost four teeth and have a fifth one about to go, because fixing this shit would cost me a ridiculous amount of money that I don't have.
"Welfare state" my hairy white ass lol
The worst is replacing a tooth by a prosthetic
Almost all dentistry stuff you pay a few euros but prosthetics ? they'll quote you 800€ easily
Apparently there is something that costs even more per weight than inkjet printer ink: those 1g ceramic dental implants
yeah talked to a dentist, and he quoted me $4k for an implant, ugh....
Wonder if they grow correct shape in a mouth thats 30 years older than usual
Go look up teratomas (do not look up teratomas) if you want to stay up wracked with horror for we are trapped in bodies from which there is no escape.
Seriously though, teratomas are real world body horror, often benign tumors that start growing random human tissues. Don't look them up unless you have a strong tolerance for body horror. Or just want to punish yourself.
What about the possibility of growing teeth in places we shouldn't?
