My family never stopped the tradition of christmas lists when we reached adulthood (It just makes shit easier, and my mother can't be persuaded to just stop buying gifts). But I've sort of reached the age where I have no clue what I would want to be given as a gift anyway. What would you/ do gift yourself for Christmas.
My pitch these days is to over spend on a cheap item. People mention getting socks, so ask for a $20 pair. More than you'd ever spend, but low enough someone else can get them as a gift. $20 for a pen, knife, charging cable, coffee mug, etc will go a long way. And then you get a high quality item to use every day.
I'm personally in the market for some computer upgrades I think. A nice mechanical keyboard, probably.
