    this feels like a cynical attempt to discredit communists

    for better or worse I would only believe this person was real if they were in front of me

      Nah, anticoms don't understand anything about communists, so their "parody" is just "entitled white kid complaining about needing to work." No understanding of what they hate.

      This is just a western ultra, who assumes that because the west lies about one socialist figure, they lie about all of them. Combined with wanting lots of attention, so they loudly idolise figures who most communists don't like so they can get into twitter arguments that distract them from their meaningless existence for half an hour or so.

      This is what makes me think it's a bit - Sander Schimmelpenninck is a Dutch op ed writer who likes to pretend to be a lefty but always rallies for the centre right party, and he grew up in a castle

      And "Rutger-Jan" is a very posh name. Like comically so.

      So that name going "yeah I'm a gonzaloist" just has to be a bit. Also isn't that Pol Pot in his banner image?
