I'm working a pretty cushy job all things considered. Problem is, it leaves me little to no time for any of my hobbies (even on weekends). I'm paranoid that if I leave this job, I'll not find something as good again and this keeps me working to the bone.
Should I just accept the situation and sacrifice my hobbies at the altar of hellworld?
Absolutely not. Fuck hellworld. A job that works you to the bone is, by definition, not a cushy one.
Edit: it's worth remembering, you provide value to whatever business you work for. The business is indebted to you, and pays you a portion of the value that you create on their behalf. You are doing the business a service, not the other way around. The CEO is literally stealing your life from you, pays you a fraction of the value you create, and is trying to convince you that they are the ones doing YOU a favour. That's the cushy job, friendo, not the one you're doing.
