Looked it up and honestly I'd sit this one out if I could. The Cristeros were rebelling against the Mexican government officially becoming secular and wanted the Catholic Church to have a say in Government but the Mexican Government side were brutal and used fascist terrorism like stringing up dead Cristeros in public.
