Alright, so I think we can all safely say that Biden's new administration SUUUUUUUCKS. It's arguably worse than Obama's. But I've decided to create an in-depth post going through his top picks. I'll make a follow up to this once he announces all positions.
Anyway, let's start with his Secretary of State - Tony Blinken. This guy is a total corporatist. He was a "senior fellow" at CSIS, a think tank that is like a discount World Trade Organization. These guys seem to really like free trade and other neolib shit. He supported the Iraq War in 2003. He's quite neocon-ish in his foreign policy in general, he dislikes China, and supported intervention in Libya and Syria, actually drafting much of the Obama admin's policy in the latter. But the biggest issue with him is his involvement is some "advisory firm" called WestExec. This firm has advised Jigsaw, a Google affiliate, the Israeli military, and, in his words "Fortune 100 types." Someone from Raytheon has been on the board of WestExec. The worst part is their clients are totally secret for the most part, which leads to a few concerns.
Now let's move on to Secretary of Homeland Security - Alejandro Mayorkas. He's a Chamber of Commerce lobbyist. There's pretty much nothing at all redeeming about him, he actually lobbied on behalf of essentially all industries, and then moved on to become the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce's "Cyber Leadership Council."
These are really the two biggest positions at the moment (obviously his transition team is fucking awful, and full of pharma, oil, and defense lobbyists) but so far his real high-up cabinet members have not been announced. Going off of this though, a neocon and a Chamber of Commerce lobbyist, thinks are not looking good.
I've seen a lot of articles on the stuff that Blinken Sullivan and Fluronoy have been up to, is there anything on Mayorkas?
