That sub's fucking infected with neolibs. Might be related to the fact that they ban "tankies" right alongside neo-Nazis.

It's like r/kaiserreich tbh, or at least how it used to be; aka 40 to 50% left-wingers, ranging from sucdems to ML/anarchists, and 50% split between whatever ideologies right of social-democracy. I mean, some opinions are absolutely trash, but it's not r/cth, so whatever, it's still far above the rest of reddit.

my general rule of thumb is if extremely anticommunist libs hate something that isn't fascism i should probably like it, so based gus hall

Gus hall is indeed based. He was the last great General Secretary of CPUSA before their complete collapse into liberalism.

The person CPUSA elected after him as the new General Secretary, Sam Webb, literally became a registered DNC shitlib after his term as head of cpusa.

    American Stalin 🤣

The US will never have a politician like Stalin. The Democratic Party would disown him for actually being able to stand up to the opposition and refuse to work with them while having the leadership to rally the party around him. At most, we'd end up with Trotsky types, which isn't far off from how the left here is completely poisoned with Trotskyists and their propaganda.

just leave that sub, the mods and the creator are a bunch of both sides centrist that cant be bother to read a bit of history for their dark universe, the canon of tno is that the US helps nazi germany in the second patriotic war against the soviets and thats a good thing, honestly even kaiserreich is better than that neolib place

That.. is not the canon. At all. They basically handwave how the Nazis won WW2 because it's a completely unrealistic scenario, the closest they come to explaining how the soviets lost is 'uhh Bukharin took over instead of Stalin'.

The mod goes to great lengths to display the awfulness of Nazi regimes and make you feel like a piece of shit for playing as them, the US is depicted as, while better for the rest of the world than the two Fascist superpowers, still awful and not really giving a shit about the states that fall under their sphere of influence.

I mean fuck, one of the potential Russian Reunifiers (Buryatia) is basically a socialist wish fulfillment run where everything is depicted very positively. While Panzer himself is a centrist lib several of the devs are commies, and basically all the non-right-wing ideologies all have places where they're depicted positively, and that includes leftism.

,no, the canon afther the re-unification of the USSR by Zhukov is what i said, you are taking about the backstory, there is a canon after the starting date with italy going democratic and the OFN happening and Kishi takes power in japan

this is because there will be a 72 start date in the mod and that will be consider the canon one

also second patriotic war is not the first (the 1° was ww2) if you had reading comprehension you would have realise that in my comment

No, the canon is that Bukharin became the leader of the USSR instead of Stalin, and because of inadequate economic development and poor wartime strategy, they lost the war. Germany also developed atomic bombs and used them to nuke Pearl Harbour which forced the US to sign a peace treaty giving Hawaii, their pacific possessions, and the Port of Los Angeles to Japan.

Stellaris' community is in a perpetual genocide-jerk - gigadeathcrime is normalised, laughed and memed about but it's still just a circlejerk at the end of the day. Maybe it's just the dopamine hit of 'huh, dead number go up hurr hurr'.

Being a communist nation is powerful however, but most of the usergenerated content is of people playing as despotic tyrants hellbent on a galactic ethnostate
