Yeah I'm not super well read on it. I've played a little bit of the TTRPG (like maybe 5 sessions) and once through the video game, so my knowledge of it is all muddled up. I know for sure that the video game's mechanics for feeding on humans are all kinds of messed up lore-wise, since they kind of needed to actually use it as a game mechanic. In the video game you're just running around grabbing random hobos in alleys and sucking their blood. As far as lore goes, that is considered not only gross, but also extremely dangerous for a variety of reasons, and also entirely illegal. Cause if that person has a bloodborne disease, you will literally have that bloodborne disease for all eternity. Any blood you take in will become diseased with it, and you can't clean yourself out of blood entirely because, you know, that's death. Same thing happens with drugs, but iirc there's some kind of funny business going on so you can get drunk that way for fun and not actually be drunk forever. And this problem was only addressed in one very small quest in the video game and otherwise never really considered. (and of course even that quest doesn't prompt you, the player character, to change your absurdly reckless activities)

But yeah, rant aside, all I'm saying is I'm not an expert, and my knowledge is definitely muddled a bit by the two conflicting sources.

I'll take you're word on this because the game was a good intro for me into the world of darkness line but changeling was the only line that really sparked my interest. What I know about vampires is bits that I wondered how they would relate to the lost. Feel like these two supernatural groups would make an excellent political drama game if crossover.
