This game is pretty cool but the imperialist propaganda is grating. I looked up the original Rainbow 6 book and the protagonist is a CIA operative who forms a NATO counter-terrorism group, Rainbow (because they’re so diverse). The bad guys are a group of left wing eco terrorists. At the end, since there won’t be enough evidence to convict the terrorists, he strips them naked and leaves them in the middle of the Amazon to die (since they love nature so much). American culture is so cool, Tom Clancy is our hero.
I played the first Splinter Cell for the first time a few months ago and the story was really stupid. Georgia is gonna invade Azerbaijan and a rogue Chinese general gave Georgia nukes and the world is on the brink of war but deep state spy man saves the day by assassinating the president of Georgia. The best part was when Sam Fisher and his daughter are watching the news talk about the president being assassinated and he laughs and his daughter is like "wow dad I haven't seen you laugh since the Reagan administration" that was pretty funny
Decent game though, I'll get around to the second one eventually
i loved ironsides voice in it. maybe one day we'll get another SC game
Yeah Michael Ironside is a good voice actor and if I ever get around to playing Blacklist then I already know him being gone will be one thing I don't like about the game.
i play like 95% of my games with the audio down so im not ever sure i'd notice!
