      i like that the most likely timeline where the KMT stay in the mainland is when Mao lets the KMT stay south of the yangtze river after Stalin felt piety on them and told Mao to form a join goverment with them

        The KMT did stay in the mainland, as we all know the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang has full political participation in the PRC. Not sure who these weirdos in Taiwan Province are.
