Shit, I'd take a "wasn't vibing" message over a literal year's worth of ghosts. Never want to go back to those days; these days I'm more likely to be the one to "yeah, I'm not feeling this/you". tl;dr OP found one who at least basically knows how to communicate; I'd at least probe if there's a way to maintain a friendship there. Before that got ghosted by a girl who invited me over and then agreed to exchange pics and never sent a pic back
Very much preferred the one who canceled before our date saying she wasn't feeling it, she saved me gas money
