I dunno, I though it might be interesting in relation to the death penalty one. Talking about shit like caning or flogging as a legal punishment.
Here's my hot (?) take to kick it off, corporal punishment is probably at least better than long-ass prison sentences like we have in the United States. Provided it isn't so severe as to cause lasting injuries, I'd rather get fucking whooped on and have that be the punishment than be in prison for years of my life.
Also, I'm picturing this as an "instead of" rather than "in addition to," in case it wasn't clear.
It's fine, but only if you do it to people who enjoy and consent to it.
