I've defended the term in the past, before I realised it offends people, and linguistically I sorta still wonder if the weeb use and the slur use are homonyms rather than synonyms, due to how different their use is. But for fucks sake, if people are saying that saying one word makes them uncomfortable, stop saying the damn word. That simple. It makes me really sad that people are getting this upset over not being able to use one word.

It's pretty irrelevant how it's used. The word "tr#p" implies a negative and is simultaneously transphobic AND homophobic. It implies that the individual's intention is to trick people into thinking they are the opposite gender in order to tr#p them into something homosexual.

It can not be separated from its intention or its implication that crossdressers are predatory. And it can't be separated from the fact it is consistently applied to characters that are obviously proto-trans characters that simply haven't advanced far enough along to start calling themselves trans yet, still in early self-discovery phases.

/r/animemes is just a cesspool. Mods need to go on a ban rampage and ban every user that posts about the topic. Get rid of them all. There will be a new subreddit made and it will ONLY populate with the worst human beings possible, this will result in some of the worst and most toxic content on the site and reddit admins will be forced to act on it as they have other communities. The end result will be a sub without them that's pleasant and all the bad users will be homeless.
