you ever think about how, up until like 200 years ago, huge HUGE swaths of humans on the planet lived the same way, in tandem with nature, that they had for thousands of years? and now there really are next to no "untouched tribes" left? Maybe this is entertaining some orientalism to think about, but it's pretty wild how homogenous human culture is becoming.
