Native Americans. "Indian" was a slur that was eventually standardized. "Native American" used to be a term for White Settlers.

Also I don't think your vision would end up happening to same extent because Gerpersons are physically the same as White Settlers.
I think the Gerpersons would send english-speakers onto reservations, but those who adopted the Gerperson language would be accepted. Kinda the reverse of what actually happened with white immigration in the 1800s.

I thought most of them prefer Indian to Native American (though it depends on the individual)

Do not listen to the mayo-people

Native Americans living on reservations generally use Indian to describe themselves, those not on reservations generally say Native American. Either term is acceptable, some prefer one or the other but no one’s gonna get mad at you for saying either/or

Not to pile on because I think the commenters above already let you know but it is my understanding that they prefer American Indians

Regardless of the rest of this incorrect comment:

      'Gerpersons'? Lmao

Way to give away that you're a troll

Gerperson is dead-on for something a chud pretending to be a caricature of a Tumblr 'SJW' or something would say. If you actually legitimately use that then I apologize but also that's still fuckin' stupid
