Gun prices are going to stay high for a while for sure.
I would bite the bullet if you're able. If not it's okay being physically fit is much more important than having a gun anyways.
Gun prices skyrocketed at the beginning of COVID and the election has only made things worse. You can still find complete rifles like the Springfield saint, smith and Wesson m&p sport, the sig m400 tread, or the ruger ar-556 or mpr but you’ll probably spend $8-$900 if you want it new. My advice would be to get a stripped lower (~$80), lpk, buffer kit, stock or brace, pistol grip, and then a complete upper (~$2-$300). Total it’ll probably be like $450 to $600 and it’s probably your cheapest option. Building an ar is super easy and actually pretty fun.
