For cool shit they did for comics like having some black heroes like Storm or Captain Marvel, some of their other shit did not age well, even if the X-Men are an allegory for the discrimination poc face.

    Comics have been a weird mixing pot of progressive thought and reactionary stench-blasts since their inception

    And if you think Marvel comics is bad, DC had Green Lantern's best friend, an Inuit man, be referred to by a slur until the late 90's (maybe longer, even, since that's when I stopped reading Green Lantern)

        Yeah, they're both bad in different ways, lest anyone think Marvel is just slightly off-color

        Like when they had Northstar come out as gay, then immediately have it turn out he's not a mutant he's half-fairy, then having him contract HIV and then ignoring him for five years

        Or when they had Shatterstar come out as bi, only to have Rob Liefeld come in and be like "No, he's straight! He's always been straight!"

        And let's not forget keeping sex pest Chuck Austen employed for far too long
