It's true, though there is some good stuff, not just the standard Banks/MacLeod socialist work. And it's (sort of) fantasy, but I'm going to keep asking people to read Saunder's Commonweal Series until it's a standard theory text.
i did not know egalitarian fantasy was a thing (outside of maybe Le Guin). i just looked into this series i wish i had more time to read. reminds me of a D&D worldbuilding thing i did awhile back.
